  • Horse museum

In the famous horse museum, you will find out the most interesting facts in relation to horses (e.g., did you know how to estimate a horse’s age?). The museum displays numerous agricultural implements and vehicles, exhibits of wood carvings, various crafts are presented (weaving, pottery, bread baking, smithery, etc.). The centenarian neo-Gothic redbrick church of Saint Matthew is the highest church in Lithuania. Its towers reach the height of 79 metres and attract tourists. The observation tower of St. Matthew Church is established in the height of 33 metres, in the right tower of the church. Having climbed 186 steps, visitors will enjoy the wonderful landscape of Anykščiai surroundings and will learn some historical facts about the church and its origin.
