Take the Hill of Crosses tour from Vilnius and explore the famous Jurgaiciai Hill, which is located 12 km north of Siauliai. This authentic monument of history and religious folk art is the best repository of Lithuanian cross making art and inspires with its peace, spirituality, authenticity and sacred nature. The legendary stories about the beginning of the Hill are insteresting as well.
Another highlight of the tour is the park dedicated to the partisans of the Great Battle District. The park was established to remember the resistance war against the Soviet regime, so you will see the crosses dedicated to the partisans (also known as Forest Brothers), the most important dates of Lithuanian history and for famous people such as Pope John Paul II, US president Ronald Reagan.

Unique
I can find this in nowhere in the world but Lithuania
A must visit for travellers in Lithuania
Worth the money
Interesting landmark but not surely worth a whole day trip for this
This trip takes almost all day and the landmark is interesting but small and quite far from Vilnius. Our guide was not very interesting and we took more time on the way than in the actual landmark. Unless you have a religious interest for the place, there should be more interesting things to do than spend so many hours in the van.
Passionate Tour Guide
Tour led by a friendly, passionate guy. This is someone who cares about his subject and wants you to
understand it. The Hill of Crosses is a place like no other; it meant a lot to me, but it may not be of
interest to everyone. Stopped for lunch on the way back; nice restaurant.
Saturday
Great trip! Andres is a wonderful your guide and driver. Would highly recommend this tour to couples
and solo travelers alike.
Inspiring day
Andrea is a very enthusiastic guide. He shared lots of information and it is clear he loves his country. The stop at the memorial park to Lithuanian partisans who continued to fight against the soviets until 1956 was very interesting. The Hill Of Crosses demonstrated to me the spirit of Lithuanians to continue and rise above oppression.
